Anti-Persephin antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the PSPN gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 156 amino acid residues and a mass of 16.6 kDa. It is known to be a secreted protein. A member of the TGF-beta protein family, it is known to be involved with nervous system development. Other names for this target antigen include PSP. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog and chimpanzee species. Some Persephin antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
