Anti-ARFGEF1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ADP ribosylation factor guanine nucleotide exchange factor 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1849 amino acid residues and a mass of 208.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus, Golgi, and cytoplasm. It is reported to be expressed in the placenta, lung, heart, brain, kidney and pancreas. ARFGEF1 is reported to promote guanine-nucleotide exchange on ARF1 and ARF3. Post-translational modifications have been described, including phosphorylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include BIG1, DEDISB, P200, brefeldin A-inhibited guanine nucleotide-exchange protein 1, and ARFGEP1. ARFGEF1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of ARFGEF1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for these antibodies.
