Anti-SMAR1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the SMAR1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the BANP gene, which encodes BTG3 associated nuclear protein. This protein is known to function in the cell cycle and chromatin organization, among other biological roles. The human version of SMAR1 has a canonical amino acid length of 519 residues and a protein mass of 56.5 kilodaltons, although 7 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include BEND1 and SMARBP1. Indicated applications for SMAR1 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
