Anti-FAM170B antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein family with sequence similarity 170 member B. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 283 amino acid residues and a mass of 32.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasmic vesicles. It is notably expressed in adult testis. A member of the FAM170 protein family, FAM170B is reported to play a role in fertilization through the acrosome reaction. Synonyms for this target antigen include acrosome-related protein, putative protein FAM170B, and protein FAM170B. FAM170B gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. These FAM170B antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
