Anti-MT1G antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein metallothionein 1G. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 62 amino acid residues and a mass of 6.1 kDa. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the Metallothionein protein superfamily, MT1G is known to be involved with monocyte differentiation. Synonyms for this target antigen include MT1K, MT-1K, MT-IG, metallothionein-1K, metallothionein-IG, and MT1. A number of MT1G antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. ELISA is a widely used application for these antibodies. Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
