Anti-OR8D4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein olfactory receptor family 8 subfamily D member 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 314 amino acid residues and a mass of 35 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. A member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 protein family, OR8D4 is known to be involved with GPCR signaling pathways and the sensory perception of smell. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include olfactory receptor 8D4 and olfactory receptor OR11-275. OR8D4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the OR8D4 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
