Anti-PTPLA antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PTPLA is a known alias name of the protein 3-hydroxyacyl-CoA dehydratase 1, encoded by the HACD1 gene in humans. This 288-amino acid residue protein is known to catalyze the third of the four reactions of the long-chain fatty acids elongation cycle. It is localized to the ER of the cell and features N-glycosylated post-translational modifications. Other synonyms for PTPLA include CAP, CMYP11, and MYONP.
