Anti-GSX1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein GS homeobox 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 264 amino acid residues and a mass of 27.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. A member of the Antp homeobox protein family, GSX1 is a suspected transcription factor that binds to the DNA sequence 5'-GC[TA][AC]ATTA[GA]-3'. Synonyms for this target antigen include genomic screened homeo box 1, homeobox protein Gsh-1, and GS homeo box protein 1. GSX1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the GSX1 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
