Anti-CPLX3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein complexin 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 158 amino acid residues and a mass of 17.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. A member of the Complexin/synaphin protein family, CPLX3 is a reported complexin that regulates SNARE protein complex-mediated synaptic vesicle fusion (By similarity). Synonyms for this target antigen include complexin III, epididymis secretory sperm binding protein, and CPX III. CPLX3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of CPLX3 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
