Anti-Hydroxycarboxylic acid receptor 2 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene HCAR2 in humans. The gene may also be known as Niacin Receptor 1, NIACR1, GPR109A, HM74a, G protein-coupled receptor HM74a, and HCA2. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 41.9 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
