Anti-Neuraminidase 3 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene NEU3 in humans. The gene may also be known as sialidase 3 (membrane sialidase), SIAL3, N-acetyl-alpha-neuraminidase 3, and ganglioside sialidase. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 48.3 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
