Anti-Trk B antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Trk B is a known alias name of the protein neurotrophic receptor tyrosine kinase 2, encoded by the NTRK2 gene in humans. This 822-amino acid residue protein is a known receptor tyrosine kinase involved in the development and the maturation of the central and the peripheral nervous systems through regulation of neuron survival, proliferation, migration, differentiation, and synapse formation and plasticity (By similarity). It is localized to the cell membrane and cytoplasm of the cell and features glycosylated, ubiquitinated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in the hippocampus, cerebral cortex, and caudate. Other synonyms for Trk B include DEE58, EIEE58, and GP145-TrkB. Western Blot is the most common application for the Trk B antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
