Anti-RPL38 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ribosomal protein L38. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 70 amino acid residues and a mass of 8.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the Eukaryotic ribosomal protein eL38 protein family, RPL38 is a known component of the large ribosomal subunit. Synonyms for this target antigen include eL38, 60S ribosomal protein L38, large ribosomal subunit protein eL38, and L38. RPL38 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some RPL38 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
