Anti-IQSEC3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein IQ motif and Sec7 domain ArfGEF 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1182 amino acid residues and a mass of 127.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the adult brain, predominantly in the cerebral cortex and the olfactory bulb, but not in the fetal brain. A member of the BRAG protein family, Iqsec3 is known to act as a guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) for ARF1. Synonyms for this target antigen include IQ motif and SEC7 domain-containing protein 3 and IQ motif and Sec7 domain 3. IQSEC3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the Iqsec3 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
