Anti-PPP1A antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the PPP1A antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PPP1CA gene, which encodes protein phosphatase 1 catalytic subunit alpha. This protein is known to function in the cell cycle, among other biological roles. The human version of PPP1A has a canonical amino acid length of 330 residues and a protein mass of 37.5 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include PP-1A, PP1A, and PP1alpha.
