Anti-PCDHA13 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein protocadherin alpha 13. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 950 amino acid residues and a mass of 102.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. PCDHA13 is known to be involved with cell adhesion and nervous system development. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include PCDH-alpha-13, ortholog of mouse CNR5, and KIAA0345-like 1. PCDHA13 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chicken species. These PCDHA13 antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
