Anti-IL36B antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein interleukin 36 beta. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 164 amino acid residues and a mass of 18.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm and is also secreted. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 2 different isoforms for this protein. A member of a the IL-1 protein family, IL36B is a reported to be a cytokine that binds to and signals through the IL1RL2/IL-36R receptor which in turn activates NF-kappa-B and MAPK signaling pathways in target cells linked to a pro-inflammatory response. Synonyms for this target antigen include FIL1-(ETA), FIL1H, FILI-(ETA), IL-1F8, IL-1H2, IL1-ETA, IL1F8, and FIL1.
