Anti-MRPL30 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein mitochondrial ribosomal protein L30. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 161 amino acid residues and a mass of 18.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the Universal ribosomal protein uL30 protein family, MRPL30 is known to be involved with mitochondrial translation. Synonyms for this target antigen include L30MT, MRP-L28, MRPL28, MRPL28M, RPML28, and L28MT. MRPL30 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some MRPL30 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
