Anti-TM4SF3 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target TM4SF3 is a known alias name of the protein tetraspanin 8, encoded by the TSPAN8 gene in humans. This 237-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the regulation of gene expression and spermatogenesis, among other biological processes. It is localized to the membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in many tissues, such as the appendix and colon. The term CO-029 is another synonym for TM4SF3.
