Anti-SI-CLP antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the SI-CLP antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CHID1 gene, which encodes chitinase domain containing 1. This protein is known to function in carbohydrate metabolism and homeostasis and innate immune responses, among other biological roles. The human version of SI-CLP has a canonical amino acid length of 393 residues and a protein mass of 44.9 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the lysosomes and is secreted of cells. SI-CLP is a member of the Glycosyl hydrolase 18 protein family.
