Anti-LCN9 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein lipocalin 9. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 176 amino acid residues and a mass of 20.3 kDa. It has been described to be a secreted protein. It is notably expressed in the epididymis. It is a member of the Lipocalin protein family. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include MUP-like lipocalin, epididymis luminal protein 129, and epididymal-specific lipocalin-9. LCN9 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is the most common application for the Lcn9 antibodies listed below. ELISA, Flow Cytometry, and Immunocytochemistry are also common applications.
