Anti-DNMT2 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the DNMT2 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the TRDMT1 gene, which encodes tRNA aspartic acid methyltransferase 1. The human version of DNMT2 has a canonical amino acid length of 391 residues and a protein mass of 44.6 kilodaltons, although 6 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include DMNT2 and MHSAIIP. ELISA and Western Blot are common applications for DNMT2 antibodies.
