Anti-RPL31 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ribosomal protein L31. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 125 amino acid residues and a mass of 14.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the Eukaryotic ribosomal protein eL31 protein family, RPL31 is a known component of the large ribosomal subunit. Synonyms for this target antigen include eL31, 60S ribosomal protein L31, large ribosomal subunit protein eL31, and L31. RPL31 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some RPL31 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
