Anti-HOXB8 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein homeobox B8. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 243 amino acid residues and a mass of 27.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. A member of the Antp homeobox protein family, HOXB8 is known to be involved with the regulation of cell differentiation and the regulation of transcription. Synonyms for this target antigen include HOX2D, Hox-2.4, homeobox protein Hox-B8, homeo box 2D, homeobox protein Hox-2.4, homeobox protein Hox-2D, and HOX2. HOXB8 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some HOXB8 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
