Anti-BEND6 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein BEN domain containing 6. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 279 amino acid residues and a mass of 31.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in many tissues, such as the cerebellum, urinary bladder, and bronchus. BEND6 is known to act as a corepressor of recombining binding protein suppressor hairless (RBPJ) and inhibits Notch signaling in neural stem cells, thereby opposing their self-renewal and promoting neurogenesis. Synonyms for this target antigen include BEN domain-containing protein 6. BEND6 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the BEND6 antibodies listed below. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
