Anti-HRG4 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the HRG4 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the UNC119 gene, which encodes unc-119 lipid binding chaperone. This protein is known to function in chemical synaptic transmission and endocytosis, among other biological roles. The human version of HRG4 has a canonical amino acid length of 240 residues and a protein mass of 27 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the lung and retina. HRG4 is a member of the PDE6D/unc-119 protein family.
