Anti-TEX19 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein testis expressed 19. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 164 amino acid residues and a mass of 18.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. It is notably expressed in the testis. TEX19 is known to be required during spermatogenesis and placenta development, participating in the repression of retrotransposable elements and prevent their mobilization. Synonyms for this target antigen include testis-expressed protein 19 and testis-expressed sequence 19 protein. Some TEX19 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
