Anti-SHCBP1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein SHC binding and spindle associated 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 672 amino acid residues and a mass of 75.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. SHCBP1 is believed to play a role in signaling pathways governing cellular proliferation, cell growth and differentiation. Synonyms for this target antigen include SHC SH2 domain-binding protein 1 and Protein expressed in Activated Lymphocytes. SHCBP1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of SHCBP1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
