Anti-AEP antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the AEP antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the LGMN gene, which encodes legumain. This protein is known to function in the regulation of gene expression, among other biological roles. The human version of AEP has a canonical amino acid length of 433 residues and a protein mass of 49.4 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the lysosomes of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. AEP is a member of the Peptidase C13 protein family. Indicated applications for AEP antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunohistochemistry.
