Anti-pp21 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target pp21 is a known alias name of the protein transcription elongation factor A like 1, encoded by the TCEAL1 gene in humans. This 159-amino acid residue protein is suspected to be involved in transcriptional regulation. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in all tissues examined. Other synonyms for pp21 include NEDGFAX, SIIR, and WEX9.
