Anti-PEPCK-M antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PEPCK-M is a known alias name of the protein phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase 2, mitochondrial, encoded by the PCK2 gene in humans. This 640-amino acid residue protein is known to catalyze the conversion of oxaloacetate (OAA) to phosphoenolpyruvate (PEP), the rate-limiting step in the metabolic pathway that produces glucose from lactate and other precursors derived from the citric acid cycle. It is localized to the mitochondria of the cell. It is reported to be expressed in many tissues, such as the appendix and colon. Other synonyms for PEPCK-M include PEPCK, PEPCK, and PEPCK-M. Indicated applications for PEPCK-M antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
