Anti-LRP2 binding protein antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the LRP2BP gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 347 amino acid residues and a mass of 39.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 2 different isoforms for this protein. It is believed to act as an adapter that regulates LRP2 function. Other names for this target antigen include megBP and megalin-binding protein.
