Anti-CD256 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CD256 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the TNFSF13 gene, which encodes TNF superfamily member 13. This protein is known to function in immune response pathways and the regulation of cell proliferation, among other biological roles. The human version of CD256 has a canonical amino acid length of 250 residues and a protein mass of 27.4 kilodaltons, although 6 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be a secreted protein. Other names for this target antigen include APRIL and TALL-2. Some CD256 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
