Anti-EIF1B antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein eukaryotic translation initiation factor 1B. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 113 amino acid residues and a mass of 12.8 kDa. A member of the SUI1 protein family, EIF1B is suspected to be involved in translation. Synonyms for this target antigen include protein translation factor SUI1 homolog GC20, translation factor sui1 homolog, and GC20. EIF1B gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some EIF1B antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for these antibodies.
