Anti-OR2J3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein olfactory receptor family 2 subfamily J member 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 311 amino acid residues and a mass of 35 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. A member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 protein family, OR2J3 is known to be an odorant receptor involved in the detection of the flavor compound cis-3-hexen-1-ol (C3HEX), a compound typically described as 'green grassy' or the smell of 'cut grass'. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include olfactory receptor 6-6, olfactory receptor OR6-16, and olfactory receptor 2J3. ELISA is a widely used application for the OR2J3 antibodies listed below. In addition, Immunofluorescence is also a common application.
