Anti-CP-10 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CP-10 is a known alias name of the protein S100 calcium binding protein A8, encoded by the S100A8 gene in humans. This 93-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the apoptotic pathway and autophagy pathways, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cell membrane, cytoplasm, and is secreted of the cell. It is reported to be expressed in many tissues, such as the bone marrow and esophagus. Other synonyms for CP-10 include 60B8AG, CAGA, and CFAG. Some CP-10 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
