Anti-FAM174B antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein family with sequence similarity 174 member B. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 159 amino acid residues and a mass of 17 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the Golgi and cell membrane. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the FAM174 protein family, FAM174B is known to be important for Golgi structural integrity. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include membrane protein FAM174B. FAM174B gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for FAM174B antibodies.
