Anti-KIR2DS5 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein killer cell immunoglobulin like receptor, two Ig domains and short cytoplasmic tail 5. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 304 amino acid residues and a mass of 33.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. It is noted to be expressed on a discrete subset of peripheral blood NK cells. A member of the Immunoglobulin protein superfamily, KIR2DS5 is known to be involved with immune response pathways. Post-translational modifications have been described, including N-glycosylation.
