Anti-ICH1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the ICH1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CASP2 gene, which encodes caspase 2. This protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway and pathways of aging, among other biological roles. The human version of ICH1 has a canonical amino acid length of 452 residues and a protein mass of 50.7 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. This target antigen may also be known as NEDD-2. Some ICH1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
