Anti-ECMR-III antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the ECMR-III antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CD44 gene, which encodes CD44 molecule (Indian blood group). This protein is known to function in cartilage development and cell adhesion, among other biological roles. The human version of ECMR-III has a canonical amino acid length of 742 residues and a protein mass of 81.5 kilodaltons, although 19 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane and is secreted of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include CDW44, CSPG8, and ECM-III. Flow Cytometry is a widely used application for the ECMR-III antibodies listed below. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
