Anti-Lewis X antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene FUT4 in humans. The protein is reported to be 530 amino acid residues in length and is a member of the Glycosyltransferase 10 family. The Lewis X antigen is a documented cancer, pluripotent, and neural stem cell marker.
