Anti-Coiled-coil alpha-helical rod protein 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene CCHCR1 in humans. The gene may also be known as C6orf18, HCR, SBP, pg8, HCR (a-helix coiled-coil rod homologue), and StAR-binding protein. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 88.7 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
