Anti-Kv4.1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Kv4.1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the KCND1 gene, which encodes potassium voltage-gated channel subfamily D member 1. This protein is known to function in potassium ion transport and protein oligomerization, among other biological roles. The human version of Kv4.1 has a canonical amino acid length of 647 residues and a protein mass of 71.3 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the membrane of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the caudate, testis, and bronchus. This target antigen may also be known as Shal-type potassium channel.
