Anti-LIMD2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein LIM domain containing 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 127 amino acid residues and a mass of 14.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. It is notably expressed in the thymus, spleen, lymph node, fallopian tube, and appendix. LIMD2 is known to act as a activator of the protein-kinase ILK, thereby regulating cell motility. Synonyms for this target antigen include LIM domain-containing protein 2 and testicular tissue protein Li 106. LIMD2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some LIMD2 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for these antibodies.
