Anti-NSG2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein neuronal vesicle trafficking associated 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 171 amino acid residues and a mass of 19.1 kDa. It is notably expressed in the duodenum, colon, cerebral cortex, cerebellum, and caudate. It is a member of the NSG protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include HMP19, neuronal vesicle trafficking-associated protein 2, calcyon family member 3, hypothalamus golgi apparatus expressed 19 kDa protein, neuron-specific protein family member 2, and CALY3. NSG2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some NSG2 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Immunohistochemistry is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
