Anti-Cathepsin L antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene CTSL in humans. The Cathepsin L protein has a reported amino acid length of 333 and an expected mass of 37.6 kDa. The protein may also be known as CATL, CTSL1, MEP, cathepsin L1, and major excreted protein. Variants of this antigen may also be found in other species, including canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat.
