Anti-FAM13A antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein family with sequence similarity 13 member A. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1023 amino acid residues and a mass of 116.9 kDa. Up to 5 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the FAM13 protein family, FAM13A is known to be involved with GPCR signaling pathways. Synonyms for this target antigen include FAM13A1, protein FAM13A, FAM13A1_v2 protein, family with sequence similarity 13, member A1, and ARHGAP48. FAM13A gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of FAM13A antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
