Anti-Cav1.3 antibodies detect the protein encoded by the gene CACNA1D, or 'calcium voltage-gated channel subunit alpha1 D' in humans. The 2161-amino acid protein is a member of the Calcium channel alpha-1 subunit (TC 1.A.1.11) family, CACNA1D subfamily. The cellular localization is predicted to be membrane-associated. Glycosylation sites have been reported.
