Anti-TPS1 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The TPS1 antigen is another term for the human protein tryptase alpha/beta 1, encoded by the TPSAB1 gene. The protein is known to function in proteolysis, among other biological roles. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 275 residues and a mass of 30.5 kilodaltons. It is a secreted protein and it is expressed in the tonsil, rectum, lymph node, colon, and bone marrow. The TPS1 protein is a member of the Peptidase S1 protein family. Other alias names for TPS1 include TPS2 and TPSB1. Some TPS1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
