Anti-CLCNKA antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein chloride voltage-gated channel Ka. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 687 amino acid residues and a mass of 75.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be highly expressed in the kidney. A member of the Chloride channel (TC 2.A.49) protein family, CLCNKA is known to be involved with the transport of ions. The CLCNKA marker can be used to identify Ascending Thin Limb Cells.* Synonyms for this target antigen include ClC-K1, hClC-Ka, chloride channel protein ClC-Ka, chloride channel Ka, chloride channel, kidney, A, and CLCK1. CLCNKA gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, zebrafish and chicken species.
